Rudy Yakym highlights art competition winners and promotes small business week

Congressman Rudy Yakym, representing Indiana's 2nd District since 2022, has recently shared updates on various events and initiatives through his social media platform. Born in 1984 and currently residing in Granger, Yakym is an alumnus of Indiana University South Bend.

On May 3, 2025, Congressman Yakym celebrated the top five entries for this year’s Congressional Art Competition at South Bend International Airport. He congratulated Bellamy Gratrix on her first-place finish and expressed his anticipation to see her artwork displayed in the Capitol. "Great to be at @SBNairport this morning to celebrate the top five entries for this year’s Congressional Art Competition! Congratulations to Bellamy Gratrix on her first place finish! I look forward to seeing Bellamy’s art on display in the Capitol!"

On May 4, 2025, he reminded constituents that his office is available to serve them and announced upcoming opportunities for engagement in Wabash, La Porte, or Plymouth. "My office is here to serve you! Join us tomorrow in Wabash, La Porte, or Plymouth."

The following day, May 5, 2025, Congressman Yakym highlighted Small Business Week by emphasizing the importance of small businesses to Indiana's economy. He stated that these enterprises are crucial for driving innovation and creating jobs within the state. "It’s #SmallBusinessWeek! Small businesses are the backbone of Indiana’s economy, driving innovation, creating jobs..."

Rudy Yakym completed his education with an Associate degree in 2009 and a Bachelor of Science degree in 2011 from Indiana University South Bend.
