On May 9, Yakym highlighted his visit to a local business during Small Business Week. He wrote: "As we continue to celebrate Small Business Week, I couldn’t resist stopping by Caffe Capriccio in Mishawaka and getting some sweet treats for the family!" This post underscores his support for small businesses within his district.

Later that day, Yakym attended a memorial service honoring police officers. He expressed gratitude towards law enforcement by stating: "It was an honor to join the Elkhart Police Department this evening for their Peace Officer Memorial Service. Our men and women in blue put their lives on the line everyday to protect our communities. I am so grateful for their selfless sacrifice."

On May 11, Congressman Yakym extended Mother's Day wishes through another post.
