Congressman Rudy Yakym, representing Indiana's 2nd District since 2022, has been active on social media discussing various issues and events. His recent tweets cover topics ranging from infrastructure grants to meetings with fellow politicians.

On May 15, 2025, Congressman Yakym expressed concerns regarding the RAISE grants announced between 2021 and 2023. He stated that "Half of RAISE grants announced in 2021-23 never got permission to break ground from @PeteButtigieg. In fact, only 39% of RAISE projects highlighted in those press releases got the green light. He wanted the press, not the project." Yakym mentioned writing to Pete Buttigieg about this issue but noted a lack of response.

The following day, on May 16, Yakym posted a message directed at President Biden. He wrote "Thank you, Mr. President! Let’s get it done", though he did not specify the context or subject matter of his gratitude.

Later that same day, Congressman Yakym shared his participation in a meeting with political colleagues. He tweeted "Great to join my friend @RepShreve and meet with the Indiana Leadership Forum during their visit to Washington!" This indicates his engagement with local leadership groups and collaboration with other representatives.

Born in Granger in 1984 and educated at Indiana University South Bend where he earned an AS in 2009 and a BS in 2011, Rudy Yakym continues to be an active voice for his constituents both online and offline.
