Congressman Rudy Yakym, who has been serving Indiana's 2nd District since 2022, recently shared updates on his activities and observations via social media. These posts provide insight into his engagements with local leadership, educational visits in Washington D.C., and comments on national energy policies.

On May 23, 2025, Congressman Yakym attended the Northern Indiana Mayor’s Roundtable in Nappanee. He expressed appreciation for the local leadership in Indiana’s Second District, stating "Great to be at the Northern Indiana Mayor’s Roundtable in Nappanee this morning and provide them on an update on my work in DC. We are fortunate to have great local leadership here in Indiana’s Second District!".

Later that day, he engaged with students from Grissom and Smucker Middle Schools during their visit to Washington D.C. He reflected positively on the interaction by noting "Enjoyed meeting students from Grissom and Smucker Middle Schools during their visits to Washington! They asked thoughtful questions and left me confident our future is in good hands."

Additionally, Congressman Yakym commented on current economic conditions regarding fuel prices as Memorial Day weekend approached. He remarked that gas prices were notably low due to administrative efforts by saying "Gas prices this Memorial Day weekend are at their lowest since 2021, thanks to this administration’s commitment to unleashing American energy and making fuel more affordable for hardworking families."

Rudy Yakym was born in 1984 and currently resides in Granger. His academic background includes degrees from Indiana University South Bend.
