On April 14, 2025, Congressman Yakym commenced his day at Notre Dame, specifically at the Mendoza College of Business, where he engaged with tax students about his role on the Ways and Means Committee. Later that afternoon, Yakym visited the Elkhart Area Career Center, which offers a wide range of career and technical education pathways. This premier CTE facility offers over 30 career pathways to 1300 students across Indiana’s Second District!"

Concluding his day's activities, Yakym visited Hydro in Elkhart to observe the company's aluminum extrusion operations. He noted the facility's expansion efforts, expressing his appreciation in a tweet, "Great to spend time at Hydro in Elkhart today and see their impressive aluminum extrusion process. They are continuing to expand operations right here in Indiana!"
